The M.L. Maniratana Bunnag Dhamma Society Fund under the Patronage His Holiness Somdet Phra Ñāṇasaṃvara the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, or the Dhamma Society Fund, is a charitable organisation in the Buddhist Theravāda Tradition, founded in 1997 by Thanpuying M.L. Maniratana BUNNAG (1923-2000). Its major activity is the proof-reading and publication of the World Tipiṭaka Edition in Roman Script, 1999-the present. .
The World Tipiṭaka Council was reincooperated by patrons from Sri Lanka, Thailand and Sweden in Stockholm in 2005, in accordance with the noble aspiration of the former Great International Council B.E. 2500 (1956-1957). Its main activities include Tipiṭaka Publication and Presentation as a Wisdom Heritage of Humanity.
The eTipiṭaka Quotation provides a digital resolution of the Buddhist Era 2500 (1956-1957) Great International Council Pāḷi Tipiṭaka, the World Tipiṭaka Edition. This Pāḷi text was proof-read, edited, and checked against all the major Tipiṭaka editions of the world by the Dhamma Society's World Tipiṭaka Project. The information on variant readings in various national scripts which was published in the Tipiṭaka Studies Reference is now available in 2009 as a gift of Dhamma for the world.
The eTipiṭaka Hall is a digital archives library, based on the information from the International Tipiṭaka Hall, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. The main feature focuses on a digitalised edition of the King of Siam Pāḷi Tipiṭaka (1893) and the World Tipiṭaka Edition in Roman script (2005) which can be accessed by the Tipiṭaka WebService, developed by the Dhamma Society Fund's World Tipiṭaka Project in 2008.
